In June 2013, WAR experts has record a butterfly of Lycaenidae family, Cigaritis vixinga davisoni, at Nui Chua national park. An article of the record, in cooperation with Japanese specialist, has been published on Buttterflies journal, in November 2013. Morishita (2008) has mentioned this species from Vietnam but there is no certain data. Mục đích của việc điều tra thành phần thực vật khu vực Ba Hòn thuộc huyện Hòn Đất, tỉnh Kiên Giang, nhằm tìm hiểu các nguồn cây bản địa còn sót lại trong khu vực Ba Hòn và có thể sử dụng cho công tác cứu hộ động vật hoang dã. Ví dụ như trái Cò ke – Grewia tomentosa, là một loại thức ăn của loài Culi (Nycticebus pygmaeus) hay các trái Hổ nho nhện – Ampelocissus arachnoidea, có thể cung cấp thêm thức ăn cho Vượn (Nomascus gabriella), v.v… Thành phần thực vật rừng cũng là những thông tin rất thú vị để giới thiệu cho khách tham quan khu vực cứu hộ và Ba Hòn cũng như những hữu ích của từng loài cây trong công tác cứu hộ và bảo vệ môi trường nói chung.

Although onychophorans have long been known to occur on the Malay Peninsula (Poulton, 1899; Evans, 1901; van der Lande & Holthuis, 1986) and in Assam, India (Kemp, 1914), until recently they had otherwise not been reported from the mainland of Southeast Asia (Oliveira, Read & Mayer, 2012).

From August 2010 to April 2011, a survey on using wild animal products was conducted on 4,062 residents and 3,562 secondary school students in Ho Chi Minh City. The results of this research provide a foundation for activities of Wildlife At Risk (WAR) in order to prevent illegal wild animal trade and consumption. This report presents results of this survey.

Wildlife At Risk has organised a herpetofauna survey in U Minh Thuong National parkwith a human support from the Melbourne Zoo. The result reveal number of species found in within the park and in the “buffer zone”, where local people is living and trade several reptiles.
