These items represent threat of consuming wild meat. According to WAR’s survey on consumption of wild animal products in 2011, eating wild meat is the most popular form of consuming wildlife products. In reality, if a wild animal is raised legally, it’s legal to eat that meat. Make sure that you do not eat wild meat if you don’t know whether it’s legal or not.

These items represent threat of using wild animals for alcoholic drink and medicine. This form of wildlife consumption is fairly common in HCMC. Many people believe that rhino horn can cure disease. But it’s scientifically proven that rhino horn is as effective at curing disease as chewing on your fingernails. The perception that rhino horn is as effective as medicine is pushing this species to the brink of extinction all over the world.
Tiger fangs, tiger skin, elephant ivory and gaur’s trophy
These objects represent threat of using wild animals for ornamental purposes and fashion. Using endangered wildlife products does not make you more stylish.

These objects represent capturing wild animals as pet.
Capturing endangered wild animals is pushing many endangered species to brink of extinction.
Red-eared Slider
This is one of the most dangerous invasive species in Vietnam. Red-eared Sliders are imported from United State of America. In Vietnam, they compete with native turtles for food and habitat. Consequently, native turtles are lack of food and have nowhere to live and thus are in danger of extinction. Do not capture or release Red-eared Slider for any purpose!

The consumption of endangered species creates a demand for these species and thus it is the most dangerous threat that endangered species face.
